ABOUT THE TRIP
Where rolling foothills lead to dramatic ridges, the Brecon Beacons and the neighbouring Black Mountains are the heartland of Wales. Steeped in a rich history of folklore we explore trails trodden by travellers of a time gone by. Rivers and waterfalls scar the rock faces, while heather-clad meadows give these hilltops their seasonal purple hue.
This is a fantastic place to run, relax and escape the speed of everyday life, moving at your own pace.
TRAIL RUNNING: 50KM OVER 3 DAYS
DURATION: 3-5 HOURS PER DAY
3 nights accommodation on a twin shared basis in a country house

Arrive and settle in to the cottage located within easy reach of Crickhowell. Meet the team over an evening meal and ready you kit for the next day.
Wake early to breakfast. Warm up, stretch and head out on the longest run you'll undertake (approx. 4hrs). From the house there is a small amount road to navigate before we are in the hills for the day. Through woodland, fields and up on ridge-lines the day has a bit of everything. Expect great views, varied trails and a carefully created route. Back at base we refuel with lunch and spend the afternoon relaxing or exploring the area. The team and guests reconvene over dinner.
After breakfast and a warm-up, we head out on a shorter run (approx 3hrs). Similar terrain as the day before but a completely different route to explore. After lunch an optional stretch & strength/yoga class will be available (approx.45 min), or just unwind ahead of the evening meal.
A quick stretch and easy morning run (1hr) will set you up for your journey - or treat yourself to a extra hour or two in bed. The team and guests share breakfast before heading off.
Directly to Cardiff Airport or Bristol Airport,. Routes are served by a selection of international and budget airlines including Ryanair, Wizz Air and Easyjet. A host of car rental companies are available at good value prices.

We recommend car sharing where possible and are able to put you in touch with fellow guests should you be on the same or similar flights.
This traditional country house has trail heads right on the doorstep. With plenty of social space to relax its a great place to escape for the weekend.
