ABOUT THE TRIP

Running amongst Dartmoors craggy landscape, wild rivers, and famous moorland. We immerse ourselves in natural beauty and use trail running as the vehicle. or this area is a fantastic place to trail run. With magnificent views in all directions, we meander through the UK's most famous moorland.  

 

This is a fantastic place to run, relax and escape the speed of everyday life, moving at your own pace.

TRAIL RUNNING: 45kM OVER 3 DAYS

ASCENT: 1200M 

DURATION: 3-5 HOURS PER DAY

GRADE: CHALLENGING

itinerary

day 01

Arrive and settle into the cottage located within easy reach of Crickhowell. Meet the team over an evening meal and ready your kit for the next day.

 

day 02

Wake early to breakfast. Warm-up, stretch and head out on the longest run you'll undertake (approx. 4hrs). From the house, there is a small amount of road to navigate before we are in the hills for the day. Through woodland, fields, and upon ridge-lines the day has a bit of everything. Expect great views, varied trails, and a carefully created route. Back at base we refuel with lunch and spend the afternoon relaxing or exploring the area. The team and guests reconvene over dinner.

 

day 03

After breakfast and a warm-up, we head out on a shorter run (approx 3hrs). Similar terrain as the day before but a completely different route to explore. After lunch another opportunity to unwind ahead of the evening meal.

 

day 04

A quick stretch and easy morning run (1hr) will set you up for your journey - or treat yourself to an extra hour or two in bed. The team and guests share breakfast before heading off.

GETTING HERE

 

Fly:

Directly to Cardiff Airport or Bristol Airport,. Routes are served by a selection of international and budget airlines including Ryanair, Wizz Air and Easyjet. A host of car rental companies are available at good value prices.

Drive:

Cardiff - Brecon (1hr) 

Bristol - Brecon (2hrs)

We recommend car sharing where possible and are able to put you in touch with fellow guests should you be on the same or similar flights.

ACCOMMODATION

This traditional country house has trail heads right on the doorstep. With plenty of social space to relax its a great place to escape for the weekend.

Rooms are booked on a twin share basis. Single person supplement is usually available. Please contact us for more information.
